This is the most conservative sedation option available. If you opt for this treatment, you will breath in a colorless, non-irritating gas. One benefit of this treatment is that you will be able to drive yourself home after your appointment.
Sedation Options for Oral Surgery
If you have an oral surgery, your surgeon will discuss further sedation options with you. These include:
- Intravenous Sedation (IV): With IV sedation, you will be put to sleep during your procedure.
- Oral Sedation (Pill): You will take a pill prior to your appointment. This is a mild form of sedation and a good choice for patients who are needle-phobic.
