Sedation Options for Oral Surgery

If you have an oral surgery, your surgeon will discuss further sedation options with you. These include:

  • Intravenous Sedation (IV): With IV sedation, you will be put to sleep during your procedure.
  • Oral Sedation (Pill): You will take a pill prior to your appointment. This is a mild form of sedation and a good choice for patients who are needle-phobic.
